Comprehensive Tuition
Comprehensive tuition for all full-time students includes tuition for 3.00 credits (12 credit hours) to 4.75 credits (19 credit hours) each in the Fall and Spring terms. For purposes of tuition calculation, a full-time student is defined as a traditional undergraduate student (degree completion programs are not included) who is enrolled for a minimum of three credits (12 semester hours). Each January, students may register for a January Term course to explore an area of academic interest or fulfill either an Integrated Curriculum requirement or a requirement in their major field of study.
Traditional undergraduate students enrolled full-time (3.00 or more credit hours) in Fall and Spring Terms of the same academic year and charged for comprehensive tuition rates in those terms may take one January Term course at no additional cost (does not include Adult Evening/Online students). Traditional undergraduate students enrolled full-time in only Fall Term or only Spring Term will be charged a rate of half the price for the January Term course. Traditional undergraduate students without full-time enrollment in both the Fall and Spring Term will be charged the full price based on the per credit hour rate and the number of credit hours of the class taken for the January Term course. The January Term tuition charge is subject to change based on actual enrollment in the Fall or Spring Terms.
Summer tuition is charged independently each year at a per credit rate. Enrollment in Summer 2026 will be charged at $3,192 per 1.0 credit ($798 per 0.25 credit).

All room charges are based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is offered at $5,080 per term. Air-conditioned rooms will have an additional charge per term.
The University offers all-you-care-to-eat meal plans including an all-access plan and plans with a set number of weekly meals. Meal plan options may be changed at the end of Fall Term. Each meal plan includes additional “dining dollars” which can be used like cash for a la carte purchases. Residence Hall students are required to participate in the meal plan program.
Elmhurst University reserves the right to change these rates effective at the beginning of any term.
